About Us
VM Design Works (VMDW) is a full-service Architecture, Interior and Product Design firm based in Chennai, India. Founded in 2015 by Principal Architect and Designer, Varsha Menon, VMDW has grown into a capable and passionate team that puts clients first and is dedicated to producing high-quality, site-conscious designs.
Experience
Varsha Menon received her Master's degree in Interior Architecture from The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2012 and went on to work as a designer at Moody Nolan, an architectural firm in Columbus, Ohio, for four years, before she moved back to India and established her full service Architectural practice - VM DesignWorks.
She has demonstrated her expertise through a number of exhibitions, including a design-build project at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan in 2012. She has a deep appreciation of Indian arts and artisans and a passion for showcasing the local art and talent of the design community through exhibitions and through the spaces created by her. She conceptualised, curated and hosted the successful Furniture and Art show "Talking Spaces" in 2021, which brought together designers and artists in a collaborative exhibition which was very well received and appreciated. She continues to explore immersive design experiences, with the intent to curate more such shows in the future.
Varsha is a motivated self-starter who strongly believes that design can be expressed in countless ways and is always eager to experiment with new and innovative expressions of her designs.
